The Algeri family were included in the Waltham Rediscovered project as part of the Italian community. They lived in the neighborhood around Charles and Felton Streets.
Salvatore Algeri (born 1887) came to the US from Ucria, Sicily in 1905. Domenica (Fogliano) Algeri (born 1884) emigrated from the same town in Sicily in 1907, and married Salvatore in Boston in 1909. The couple had six children:

- James (born 1922)
- Josephine (born 1925)
